White Nexus 4 would be available from May 29

LG has officially confirmed that a white version of the Google Nexus 4 will be made available from May 29. Previously spotted in a number of leaked pictures and at different conventions, the white edition will be first available in Hong Kong, with a global roll-out to follow in a "few weeks".

Everything inside the phone will be the same as the black Nexus 4 which is already available. It will come with a 4.7-inch 720p True HD IPS Plus display (320ppi), 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM and, possibly, 8GB of storage. Pricing has not been revealed either, but the black version starts at £239. It is expected that it will be same for the white edition. A 16GB version of the black Nexus 4 is available for £279, but it is not known whether a white equivalent of the same size will be available.

It is unlikely that the handset will come with Android 4.3 as it hasn't been officially announced, but smart money is on an update soon after release. "Nexus 4 set the standard for Android 4.2 Jelly Bean smartphones," said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company. "Nexus 4 White delivers the same Google experience to consumers in a stylish and attractive color option."
